Protect Your Hand-Painted Doormat

Coir is a natural fiber, and every Creative Creations By Dee mat is painted by hand. A little care will help protect the design and extend the life of your mat.

Choose a Covered Location

• Place the mat in a dry, covered or sheltered entryway.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct rain, harsh sunlight, and standing water.
• Use the mat on a flat, dry surface and confirm that your door opens freely above it.

Routine Cleaning

• Shake the mat outdoors to release loose dirt and debris.
• Sweep gently or use a vacuum on a light setting.
• For a small spot, blot carefully with a lightly damp cloth.
• Do not soak, machine-wash, pressure-wash, or saturate the mat.

If the Mat Gets Wet

Move it to a ventilated area and allow it to dry completely. If needed, drape or stand the mat so moisture can drain away. Do not place it back on the floor while the backing is still wet.
